Those We Serve
We created Pro vs. GI Joe to benefit America's troops, wounded veterans and their families. They serve us so we connect them with professional athletes to serve and honor them. There are troops serving in 135 countries all over the world, far away from their loved ones for months or years at a time.
Through Pro vs. GI Joe and our various programs and initiatives, our goal is to make the miles disappear, if only for a few minutes or hours, by connecting those troops with pro athletes and celebrities, but also to their friends, families, communities, supporters and fans in a variety of truly unique, fun ways. Those ways include in-person and online video game competitions, webcam chats, in-person and online workouts (for wounded warriors), tailgate events and fan experiences throughout the country. Pro vs. GI Joe has something for everyone and benefits troops from every branch of service.
Since 2008, we've facilitated Pro vs. GI Joe events for troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Dubai, Qatar, Korea, Japan, Germany, Cuba, Italy and to those serving here at home. We try our very best to match the pros with hometown troops serving overseas and, when that isn't possible, we do our best to match our troops up with their favorite pro or team. For example, if we're having an event with the Green Bay Packers, we will work with the USO and with the various military installations to identify Wisconsin-based troops or some of the Green Bay Packers' biggest fans. We do this so we can invite your friends and family to the event and to involve the troop's local community as much as possible. Additionally, at nearly every event, we invite between 25-50 troops to attend in-person and everyone usually walks away with pictures, autographs, prizes, giveaways and experiences they'll never forget.
